"Art's First Intention · A Journey Through Beauty ~ Shen Ching-jung Taijiang Solo Exhibition" officially opened at the Taijiang Cultural Center on September 19 and runs through October 19. The public is warmly invited to step into this hall of art and immerse themselves in the beauty of the world rendered by the artist's brush and in her childlike, original heart.
This exhibition is not only the first solo art show by Shen Ching-jung, CEO of the FLOMO Education Foundation, but also brings together years of her creative effort, using the visual language of painting to express her love of nature and her reflections on her travels.

CEO Shen Ching-jung serves as both Chief Executive Officer and Director of the Foundation and has devoted herself to public-welfare work for many years; despite a heavy workload, she has held fast to her original devotion to artistic creation. Her travels have taken her around the world, and using the translucency of watercolor and the richness of oil paint as her media, she transforms the landscapes, light, and moods of her journeys into paintings. Her brushwork is delicate and tender, her tones soft and refined, capturing the vivid details of natural scenery while embodying sincere feeling for life. Taking "first intention" as its core theme, this exhibition presents a curated selection of flower and landscape works, leading viewers through the canvas into her artistic vision and inviting them to share the moving moments of encountering the world along the way.

As a public-welfare force that has long advanced education and the development of arts and culture, the FLOMO Education Foundation has, since its establishment in 2004, remained dedicated to deepening its work in the cultural and educational field. Last year it joined hands with the Tainan City Cultural Affairs Bureau to launch "The First Art Class for the Children of Taijiang," letting the seeds of art take root in children's hearts. At the opening ceremony of this exhibition, teachers and students from Kang Chiao Kindergarten were specially invited to take part, further putting into practice the Foundation's philosophy of "rooting education and awakening art" and demonstrating its firm resolve to cultivate aesthetic education for the next generation.

Curator Lu Sung-ying noted that, as the cultural venue nearest the Taijiang National Park in all of Taiwan, the Taijiang Cultural Center naturally possesses a unique character in which "nature and the humanities intermingle," and that CEO Shen Ching-jung's interpretation of natural landscapes and her rendering of travel experiences in her works are highly attuned to the local atmosphere of Taijiang.

Tracing the historical context further, he mentioned the tradition of Qing-dynasty gentry such as Lin Chao-ying donating to Tainan's culture and education, and stressed that the FLOMO Education Foundation's support of Tainan's cultural and educational field in recent years is precisely a continuation of this entrepreneurial spirit that "values culture and education and embraces public welfare." He expressed the hope that the Foundation might draw on the century of development experience of the Rockefeller Foundation in the United States and continue to expand the social influence of Tainan's enterprises.
Lin Yao-tang, Vice President of Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages, also expressed his admiration for the exhibition with two seven-character poems. The first reads: "Amid the misty willows and winding rails of Shen's garden, fresh indigo blends into the spirit of the painting; Jung's fragrant shadow follows the dream afar, her first intention accompanied all the way by the spring breeze." The second reads: "Shen's waters hold the light and mirror the rainbow; a green heart, unstained, walks the path of art; Jung's blossoms unfurl with the original heart, roaming at ease through realms of beauty with the distant wind." The verses both embed the name "Shen Ching-jung" and precisely capture the exhibition's core themes of "first intention" and "beauty," lending this artistic occasion a literary resonance.

"Art's First Intention · A Journey Through Beauty" is not only a visual art exhibition but also a warm journey of the soul. CEO Shen Ching-jung uses her brush as a bridge, connecting nature and the humanities, travel and life, turning the moving moments of her life into color and brushstroke.

All are sincerely invited to step into the Taijiang Cultural Center and, amid the interplay of art and light, rediscover the purest beauty of life and keep this artistic appointment with the "first intention."
