"Art's First Intention · A Journey Through Beauty — Shen Ching-jung Taijiang Solo Exhibition" opened at the Taijiang Cultural Center on the 19th and runs through October 19. This is the first solo art show by Shen Ching-jung, CEO of the FLOMO Education Foundation, presenting works in the flower and landscape series and demonstrating her commitment to carrying through her "first intention in art" with the brush.
Shen Ching-jung has long devoted herself to public welfare while continuing to create. Her travels have taken her around the world, and she transforms the light, scenery, and emotions she encounters along the way into paintings through the transparency of watercolor and the rich brushwork of oil paint. This exhibition presents a curated selection of works; with delicate brushwork and soft tones, they both capture the details of nature and convey sincere feeling for life.

The Taijiang Cultural Center, located beside the Taijiang National Park, combines a natural and a humanistic atmosphere. Curator Lu Sung-ying said that Shen Ching-jung's interpretation of nature and her reflections on travel are highly attuned to the character of the Taijiang landscape. He also noted that the Foundation has supported Tainan's culture and education for many years, continuing the local tradition of "valuing culture and education and embracing public welfare" and demonstrating the spirit of enterprises giving back to society.
Since its establishment in 2004, the Foundation has deepened its work in culture and education, and last year it collaborated with the Tainan City Cultural Affairs Bureau on "The First Art Class for the Children of Taijiang" to help root art education. Teachers and students from Kang Chiao Kindergarten were also invited to this opening event, echoing the philosophy of "rooting education and awakening art."

Among the guests, Lin Yao-tang, Vice President of Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages, paid tribute to the exhibition in verse, highlighting the core spirit of "first intention" and "beauty" and lending the exhibition a literary atmosphere.
Shen Ching-jung said she hopes that, through this solo exhibition, art may be seen as a journey of the soul, inviting viewers to rediscover the beauty of nature and life through the canvas.
